General Motors hopes to pass a new labor agreement with the United Auto Workers soon, with GM’s proposed contract going to the union for a vote. The UAW is the largest trade union that represents around 48,500 GM employees. [1] 

Though the terms of this tentative four-year agreement are not public yet and UAW members are currently reviewing it, we believe that if approved it will offer GM significant long term cost-saving opportunities by reducing its employee related obligations in exchange for certain commitments.
