Online Registration
Become a General Motors Retirees Association Member by completing the online form below. The annual membership dues of $25 or more will validate your GMRA membership as of the date we receive your payment through March 2012.
After you have completed all required fields in the registration form, click the “Register” button at the bottom of the page to submit your information online. You will then be given the opportunity to pay your dues online.
Mail-in Registration/Payment
If you prefer, you can print a registration form and mail it, along with a check or money order in the amount of $25 or more, payable to GMRA, to the address listed at the bottom of the form. -Click here to obtain a printed application. (Contributions are not tax deductible.)
A Few Reasons Why You Should Join GMRA
· The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., the federal corporation that insures retirement plans has raised concerns about GM spending of pension fund assets, warning that those assets are being used for programs that could undermine the health of the plan assets.
· Stay informed of changes in the automotive industry that could affect your pension and benefits. GMRA monitors impending changes and the potential impact of business decisions on retiree pensions and benefits.
· Membership in GMRA gives you an opportunity to be heard and to be involved in decisions that could impact your future. GMRA relies on and welcomes input from members.
· GMRA represents GM retirees in the courts, to the media and public, as well as with GM, relative to pension, benefits and other post employment matters that could impact the security and prosperity of GM retirees, and their spouses. GMRA is recognized by GM as an official interface with GM salaried retirees.
· GMRA monitors pending legislation and initiates legislative strategies designed to protect and benefit GM retirees through well-defined, well-connected working relationships in the political arena.
· GMRA membership includes membership in the National Retiree Legislative Network (NRLN), an organization representing about 2 million retirees from 87 different companies.
