Washington — A federal bankruptcy judge in New York is expected to decide Monday whether to approve nearly $125 million in legal fees and expenses for lawyers and consultants at "old" General Motors Corp. 

The U.S. Trustee has raised objections to $3 million in charges — for lawyers who hiked their billing rates during the two-year-bankruptcy proceedings. Some lawyers hiked their hourly rates by 20 percent or more during the bankruptcy case.
