Dear Retiree,

In response to questions from GMRA members, benefit information sessions have been scheduled in the Greater Detroit area. These workshops are open to all retirees but are primarily focused on the benefit needs of pre-65 retirees, who are not yet eligible for Medicare.

There is no charge to attend a session, although advance registration is required. You are invited to forward this notice to your retiree friends and neighbors.

Note: These sessions are not sponsored by GMRA. Information on the workshop schedule is being communicated as a courtesy only, to retirees who are interested in exploring benefit information or options. Where do we go from here?

Presented by

Senior Benefits Group and Albertan Partners, LLC

In order to address the growing concerns of retirees, we have asked Alberland Partners, LLC, the group who handled many of our Medicare issues to hold workshops specifically about many of the new gaps in your benefits. The loss of extended care benefits, a minimized life insurance amount, and dental and vision plans have been the most notable. The advisors performing the workshops will address each concern and teach our members how to isolate which benefits are truly necessary and which are unnecessary expenses.

Topics covered:

1.Extended care not covered by insurance or Medicare

·When short term care is necessary, what is the likelihood of needing it?

·Is Long Term Care planning important?

·What does Medicare cover, and how does Medicaid work with the new laws?

·Are these coverages a good investment?

2.Filling the deductible gap on Major Medical

·New out-of-pocket limits are scary

·The split & cover strategy

·How to protect your assets from unexpected medical expenses

3.Ancillary coverage- Dental & Vision policies
