Welcome to the GM Retirees Association Website The General Motors Retirees Association is the nations largest advocacy organization devoted to the preservation of pension, healthcare, and other benefits earned by GM retirees through their years of labor and loyalty to GM. GMRA stands for the fair treatment of all GM retirees, including the salaried retirees not already represented by the United Auto Workers. GMRA collaborates with the National Retirees Legislative Network (NRLN).
SPECIAL NOTICE
Dear GMRA, My name is Reginald Price and I am the son of Ledel Price, who passed away on January 2, 2012. Ledel is a General Motors retiree and Korean War veteran, who worked for 30 years as a welder at the Willow Run plant in Ypsilanti, MI until his retirement in 1989. Ledels funeral services will be held this Saturday, January 7, 2012, and my family and I are seeking assistance locating the name and contact information of at least one of his fellow retirees or co-workers who might have known Ledel, so we can ask their presence and/or participation at Ledel\s services. I can be reached at (248) 605-5535 or rdprice78@aol.com. Any assistance you are able to provide will be greatly appreciated by family and I. Thank you and I wish you a happy and healthy new year. Sincerely, Reginald D. Price |

President´s Corner
The GMRA, General Motors Retirees Association, has been
completed and is being electronically sent to all GM retirees, in our data
base, that have provided GMRA with an e-mail address. If you have not provided GMRA with an e-mail
address, you can go to the ACTION ALERT section on the GMRA Home Page, www.gmret.org and view the results.
Due to the large response of GMRA members, GMRA will be
developing more surveys to solicit a comprehensive plan of action that
addresses other concerns of the GMRA membership besides protecting pensions,
which GMRA is constantly doing, and also working with NRLN, National Retirees
Legislative Network, to protect Social Security and Medicare, in addition to
other concerns of retirees.
As a reminder, the 2010-2011 membership ends on March 31,
2012. GMRA will be posting and sending a
membership renewal in March for the 2012-2013 membership, which will end on
March 31, 2013. Also, there will be a
special discount for a two year membership.
GMRA encourages all GMRA members to contact other not-GMRA members to
join GMRA. The more members that GMRA
has will translate to a greater influence that GMRA has with GM and the United
States Congress.
GMRA is the only national organization, of General Motors
Retirees, that is dedicated to protecting your pensions and working with NRLN
to preserve retiree’s benefits and protecting Social Security, Medicare and
other promised “government” programs of retirees.
GMRA continues to thank you for your support.
